I thought I'd include a page of resources that I have found helpful. Of friends' blogs and websites, as well as books and whatever else I can think of. I will continue to add to this list as I find new things!
Books
"Empty Cradle, Broken Heart: Surviving the Death of Your Baby" by Deborah L. Davis, Ph.D. - This book has been a savior. Camden and I have both felt it very useful. The hospital gave it to us before we left. It has justified our feelings and helped us understand them and ourselves. I haven't found a better one yet!!
Websites
Still Standing Online Magazine - Great for infertility, miscarriage, still birth, prematurity, and infant loss. I've found a lot of great stuff here.
SHARE Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support, Inc.
Faces of Loss, Faces of Hope
Carly Marie Project Heal - Carly Marie is a wonderful woman who has started projects like "Christians Beach," "Lost for Words Card Line," and "Luminous Light." She also is a huge advocate for a Mother's Day and Father's Day for parents who have lost their children (that are different than your typical Hallmark holidays). Wonderful, wonderful woman.
Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep - This organization is amazing. They come and take pictures of your baby during a time of loss. It is the ONLY way we have beautiful pictures of Andrew. I hope some day I can find the strength to volunteer for this fabulous organization.
March of Dimes - Regardless of our outcome, this organization raises money for awareness and research of premature births. I plan to walk this coming years' walk in remembrance of my two beautiful sons in the hopes that the money I raise can help find a cure for HELLP or at the very least treatment to keep babies like my boys alive.
StillBirthday - I'm still exploring this one but have found some great entries that have been helpful for my recovery....
Celebrating Pregnancy - Information on a book written by a loss Momma. Check it out!
Blogs
Miscarriage, Still Birth, and Infant Loss Blog Directory - Go here to find any type of blog around these issues. I found some really great ones that I'm still reading through and connecting with the moms.
My dear friend Jana's blog is amazing. She and I met through a mutual friend. While Sammy was still fighting, Jana and I shared stories of losing a twin and mourning him while still fighting for the other. She was lucky enough to bring home her beautiful little boy, Cohen, and I enjoy reading her blog about raising such an amazing little boy who beat all the odds. <3 You can read her blog here.
